the ENGINE row cycles the voice: subtractive → FM → wavetable. in wavetable the dial GROWs a seeded spectrum — DETUNE becomes TILT and SYNC becomes WAVE — click it to grow a new wave (right-click for the last); the wave breathes on its own (DRIFT deepens it).
drift (the amber arc nested in mutate) loosens the filter — mutate drifts the notes, drift drifts the tone. crank it for analog wander, wavering vowels, detuned combs, and notes that never sit still.
SPAWN rolls a new creature — filter and all. in the console, the disk saves the creature to one of five slots; the trash arms a lit slot to clear.
